Laura Christopher is a 23 year old singer, songwriter from Worcester, England. She produces popular music and takes inspiration from artists such as:
Miley Cyrus, Zara Larsson and Dua Lipa. 26/8/2020 0 Comments WILD HORSE
Wild Horse are prodigious in every way, as Jack Baldwin (18), Older brother Henry (21) and buddy Ed Barnes (19) have just released their fourth album, “WE ARE IN AN IDENTITY CRISIS… BUT WE LOVE IT”. A monster release of 16 of the catchiest songs you are likely to hear this year. Expect the unexpected, from Pop, Classic Rock, Punky Reggae, Blue eyed Soul, Dirty Funk, Rap, Latin, and so much more. Yet it flows perfectly! Beautifully produced and highly recommended by critics on both sides of the pond.
2/7/2020 0 Comments NORTHERN NIKKO14/5/2020 0 Comments NIGEL THOMASNigel says: “Stepping Up is about how having very little can help drive you forward and achieve creatively and how you appreciate and value the little things more when they're infrequent. Following on from that, when great things do happen you often don't know how to express yourself and speaking nonsense often the result”!30/4/2020 0 Comments LUCKY IRIS
Lucky Iris are an alt-pop duo who have put their own personal spin on the resurgence of electro-acoustic music, resulting in the production of a set of intimate silky tunes with a fresh aesthetic.
Lucky Iris are made up of two members – vocalist Maeve and instrumentalist Jasper – they are both originally from north London (Watford and Aylesbury). Having attended the University of Leeds, they decided to move to the city after falling in love with the place! 26/2/2020 0 Comments LITTLE BROTHER ELI
Hailing from Oxford, U.K, Little Brother Eli are an energetic 4-piece band who combine the best elements of Rock, Disco, Electro and Classic Hip Hop – giving their music an almost nostalgic beat, that is long missed in music.
Hailing from Oklahoma, U.S.A meet Bethnie Rose, a highly talented, highly funny and also a self admitted Smile Radio Stalker ( we joke on the last part... or do we?).
Her music style is a mix of Rock, Pop, Folk and a dash of soul taking her influences from some great artists, some considered Godfathers and Mothers of their genre such as, Coheed and Cambria, Janis Joplin, Mumford and Sons, Led Zeplin, Kings of Leon and much, much more, Bethnie uses these influences and like a mistress of musical magic puts together her own tracks, that come from the heart, inspired by her own journey on the bumpy road that is life! Writing her first song at 7 years old and learning to play the acoustic guitar at 13, she had early influences of Stevie Ray Vaughn, Bonnie Raitt, The Doobie Brothers and Led Zeppelin, and later added Dave Matthews Band, Big Wreck and Brandi Carlile. Her desire as a musician is to express the vast emotions of the heart, and hopefully provoking the emotions of the listeners. Her very 1st album was a 5 song EP of original music that was released June 7th of 2019. In between making music Bethnie keeps busy by engaging with her fanbase on social media, doing live performances throughout Oklahoma and Texas touring with her band, with a hope to take her journey global. In the meantime you can listen to Bethnie's own blend of awesomeness any of your favourite streaming platforms (Spotify, Itunes, Apple Music, Google Play, Amazon and Youtube Music) Bethnie is nominated in the following categories: E.P, Rock, Alternative & Newcomer. Keep your ears open over the next month and don't forget to vote for Bethnie Rose when the Smile Radio Indie Awards public vote goes live!
Come be nominated or nominate your own favourite Indie Band for the Smile Radio Indie Awards coming January 2020 in conjunction with the Live Rooms, Cleckheaton.
