New in the mix here at Smile Radio we have two piece musical partners and longtime friends Ian Richards and Jack McCracken who together make up "The Ten Year Program"
Released this month "Ambien Wet Dreams" is the fresh new track from the Ten Year Program.
So, who are the Ten Year Program?
Their influence comes from bands like Glassjaw, Deftones and Far laying the foundations whilst other influences such as Sunny Day, Real Estate, Mineral & early Jimmy Eat world add the melodic filling to give their music a solid, unique sound, whilst paying a homage to the influences that inspire them.
The band describes this project as marking the first time both artists could write and record without the constraints of most small record deals. With Richards at the helm producing and engineering, T.Y.P find their sound on their debut EP.
The songs sound big, they're meant to; the arrangements are fleshed out and McCracken's lyrics and vocal style add a passionately thought-provoking layer with his unique take on pop sensibility, fueled by lyrics riddled in love, anger and existential crisis.
Ian Richards produces, engineers, writes and records the music and Jack McCraken Sings on the tracks.
